Private School and preschool Rockingham

St Peter’s School is an independent preparatory day school and preschool just ten miles from the village of Rockingham. Our doors are open to boys and girls from the school term in which they turn 3 years old until they reach 11 years of age, offering a co-educational experience.

Pupils studying at St Peter’s will have the opportunity to reach their full potential in all aspects of education with a combination of exceptional teaching and a positive learning attitude. This foundation begins in the Lower School, where children between the ages of 4 and 7 receive an exceptional education, starting with Reception Class.

Preschool

Sunnylands preschoolis a nurturing and secure learning environment nestled within the sprawling grounds of the school. With bright and spacious rooms and ample outdoor space, your child will have the perfect setting to learn through play with activities like painting, construction, role play and singing. Additionally, we also offer a variety of enriching programs, including ballet, French, and music and movement.

Lower School (Reception and Year 1 to 2)

With an education covering the seven areas of Learning and Development in the Early Years Foundation Stage and an enhanced National Curriculum Programme of Study for Years 1 and 2, St Peter’s offers a rich and stimulating curriculum for your child. English and Maths are given special emphasis alongside other core subjects, with class sizes small to provide your child their own personalised attention.

A daily reading program is closely monitored with active parent involvement encouraged.

Upper School (Year 3 to Year 6)

The Upper School, for students between the ages of 7 and 11, prepares both boys and girls for entry into a wide range of secondary schools in both public and private sectors. Specialist teachers are employed to ensure high academic standards, and the curriculum places a strong emphasis on art, music, drama, and sports.

A program of activities and clubs are also offered to cater to student’s personal interests; available to both Lower School and Upper School students.
