Founders Day 2026! On Friday we marked Founder's Day 2026, our annual prize-giving event to celebrate the hard work and achievements of our wonderful school community. And this year is even more special as we celebrate St Peter's School's 80th birthday Our guest speaker Reverend Richard Coles shared a wonderfully inspiring address about his time at the school, encouraging pupils to embrace our core values of curiosity, confidence, creativity, and community. In a memorable and entirely impromptu moment, he also led the audience in a spirited rendition of his classic number one hit, Don't Leave Me This Way, with enthusiastic participation from everyone present. It was a celebration of what makes St Peter's School truly special. #revrichardcoles #community
Preschool Pirates and Mermaids. What an absolutely magical week we have had in Preschool! After days of building excitement, our little adventurers finally got to become real-life mermaids and pirates for the day. From shipbuilding and flag designing to maps and compasses they tracked down the hidden treasure, before Walking the Plank! #explorers
Underwater Adventure Through Music. Our Reception children have been busy exploring the exciting world beneath the waves through our song Down There Under The Sea. They added a simple repeated ostinato pattern using tuned percussion instruments, developing an impressive range of musical skills along the way. The children learnt to keep a steady pulse, listen carefully to one another, and play together as an ensemble. They also practiced taking turns, following visual cues, and demonstrating excellent concentration while performing. Most importantly, the children showed wonderful creativity and confidence as they combined singing and instrumental playing, bringing our underwater adventure to life with enthusiasm and joy. Well done, Reception!
Preschool had a fun day out at Wicksteed Park. Our preschool children had an amazing time on our recent school trip to Wicksteed Park! They embarked on a thrilling treasure hunt, then teamed up to build an impressive kingdom of sandcastles. On a stroll around the lake they spotted the famous Waterchute; the children were amazed to learn it is over 100 years old! They had a wonderful wildlife encounter, spotting some beautiful swans and their adorable baby cygnets, then ventured into the playground for some final climbs and giggles. We are so proud of how wonderfully the children represented our school! #WicksteedPark

Multi tasking in the Sun. We love multi-tasking at St Peter's and that includes our tools and equipment. So what better way to have some fun and water the grass than with a sprinkler.
