New Traditions!

Year 6 girls get ties.

In a historic moment, girls now have the option to wear ties as part of their school uniform, a change that hadn't occurred in the 77-year history of the school. This initiative was championed by the school council, who recognised the importance of both boys and girls learning how to tie ties for their future in secondary school.

In the picture above, you can see some of the year six girls proudly wearing their new St Peter's ties. These ties have been redesigned with the school council's input, incorporating our school colours of navy, sky, and white. The new tie features a Crosskeys emblem, symbolising St Peter, along with our Latin motto, "Give me a wise and understanding heart." This change reflects our commitment to inclusivity and the development of important life skills.
