28th April 2005

  • Although Founders’ Day is still some time away it is hoped that advance notice of the day’s proceedings will be useful to you now.

  • This year the prize giving part of our celebration will take place on the morning of 8th July, with a later school start time of 9.45am.  Details of drop off arrangements for that morning will follow. Parents are welcome to bring a picnic for lunch, at which their children can join them.  This is a great way for us all to share in St Peter’s School’s magnificent grounds.  In the case of inclement weather the ‘mass picnic’ would move into the marquee, but hopefully the sun will shine on St Peter’s 2005 Founders’ Day!

  • After your picnic lunch you will have the opportunity to walk around both the School buildings with your child and have a look at displays, as well as at the school books that are laid out in each classroom. This is also another chance for your son or daughter to show you some of the work they have completed throughout the year.

  • As this is a ‘special’ school day there will be an informal approach to its end.  You are welcome to take your child home at any point in the afternoon, after signing out at the School office.  There will be no Late Club on Founders’ Day.  It is hoped that this advance notice of change to the start and end of the day will assist you in making alternative plans early on.

  • Further information regarding the day’s organisation will be sent out to you in due course, and your invitation will follow shortly.

  • Founders’ Day is such a special day for our pupils.  It is a time for celebrating their successes and efforts throughout the academic year.  We do hope that you will be able to join us.
